Race day rules

 

This event is run under ASA and CGA rules. Please follow all instructions from officials and marshals.

  • Licensed athletes: wear club colours and display your ASA licence number on the front and back of your vest, with your race number on the front.

  • Unlicensed athletes: purchase a temporary licence (valid for this event only) at registration and wear it as directed.

  • Race numbers are personal and non-transferable — no swapping, selling, or running under someone else's bib.

  • Minimum ages: 5km = 5 yrs · 10km = 14 yrs · 21.1km = 16 yrs

  • Category prizes: wear the correct age tag and be ready to show proof of age at the prize verification desk.

  • No earphones or headphones.

  • No unauthorised assistance — no running alongside, no handovers from vehicles. Use official water points only.

  • No pets, cyclists, or unauthorised devices on the route.

  • No littering. Use bins and designated litter zones.

Getting there 

Parking inside and near Wits Education Campus is limited. We strongly recommend carpooling or using an e-hail service (Uber, Bolt) to get to the start.

  • Arrive early — traffic builds significantly in the hour before the start.

  • Follow marshals and signage — some areas may be closed or reserved.

  • Keep valuables out of sight and lock your vehicle.
